In a project presented by Yokohama Makers Village (pictured above), metal becomes the red thread across a series of product design collections presented at this year’s Superdesign Show. With their signature taste for experimentation and celebrated ability to push any material to its limits, the Japanese brand presents the Ikimono collection, realized in collaboration with designer Hiroaki Nishimura, architecture programmer Junichiro Horikawa, and Stratasys, a leader in 3D printing. Here, eight design objects are connected to a sustainable lifestyle inspired by the force and functions of diverse natural elements that never renounce the pleasure of an aesthetic surprise.
